Give a little time and build Skills for Life.
Our Executive Committee make decisions and carry out administrative tasks to ensure that the best quality Scouting can be delivered to young people at Old Dalby. We meet bi monthly both face to face and through video call for convenience for 2 hours. Our meetings are friendly and welcoming and always involve tea and biscuits. Finance, the repair and maintenance of our building and grounds on Queensway Old Dalby, equipment, tents, kayaks, fund raising and recruitment are regular items on our agenda and all committee members inputs are important contributions to the smooth running of the administrative side of the group. Executive committee volunteers benefit from our award-winning training scheme for volunteers which is done from home online in small straightforward sessions means that adults get as much from Scouts as young people. Our approach focuses on what you want to get out of volunteering with Scouts, while respecting how much time you can offer. Over 90% of Scout volunteers say that their skills and experiences have been useful in their work or personal life.
Join us, come along give it a try we have a role for everyone.
Scouting provides skills for life to young people, who are split into sections. Beaver Scouts (6-8), Cub Scouts (8-10½), Scouts (10½-14), Explorer Scouts (14-18) and Scouts Network (18-25).
You don’t need to be Bear Grylls to join us. Whatever your skillset, lend a hand for as little or as much time as you can spare, and we promise you’ll get more out than you put in.
