A massive thank you and village banners
Things have been tough over the past two years, and everyone has had a lot to deal with, it hasn’t been easy for any of us. But despite all that the 1st Old Dalby Scout group have prevailed and we are heading out of the storm and into new exciting times!
Once more, we’re sharing hugs with loved ones and Scouts is getting back to where it needs to be – in person. Our volunteers have been a huge part of us surviving. They’ve helped keep our group going throughout all the hardships, and for that, we’re so grateful.
Seeing groups of smiling faces come together (and not on a screen) has been so warming. We’ve learned that technology is a wonderful thing but there’s nothing quite like reconnecting in real life. It’s thanks to our volunteers that this has been possible.
You may have spotted our banners and flyers around the villages. This spring we’re rolling out our #GoodForYou campaign to encourage adult volunteers to join us and find out for themselves the volunteering is good for you. We need you, we need tea makers, activity planners, tidy-uppers and helpers for as little or as much time as you can spare.
